IN MOTION.

UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS. REMEMBERED FOR AGES.

At the House of MASH we shape performative concepts, animate public spaces, make shows and create engaging experiences for people, charities and commercial brands. We support the development of young creatives and activists as a collective, to make game-changing visual art to spark conversation.

original circus productions

House of MASH create original full-length shows, with cutting-edge performances that inspire conversation.

These shows have toured venues and festivals across the country. Such as Hullabaloo in 2016, to ManÖken in 2017 and Zero in 2019.

Our latest creation Dream Cabaret debuted at our own Birmingham venue in December 2022. A haunting exploration of the lines between dream & reality.

Dream Cabaret is available to book for your venue or event throughout 2023. Find out more

bespoke collaborations

We create mesmerising atmospheres, spaces and happy places.

From weddings, to live branding campaigns, corporate dinners, festivals and special events. We can bring your event to life with our creative minds and world-class performers.

Each commission is a unique rich case study, in collaboration with happy clients such as Selfridges, Grand Central, Resorts World, University of Birmingham and Halfords to name a few.

The team at MASH were great to work with. Each performance was brilliant; we were completely mesmerized.

team building

Circus Skills Workshops are team building activities suitable for all abilities and age ranges, making this activity perfect if you want to appeal to everyone in your team.

Participants will learn amazing new circus skills, and will strengthen the team when you head back to the office.

Happy clients include Virgin Media and Siemens.

community

Community is a cornerstone of what we do here at House of MASH. This involves local charity fundraising projects such as Project Evie, local festivals like CoCoMad, and cultural community projects like Birmingham Commonwealth Games 2022.

opportunities for young people

We also invest in our local circus talent, especially our youth circus collective which focusses on facilitating their creativity and making their ideas a reality in youth-led productions like Polaroid.

Each term we also create a community show, which are performed at our CircusMASH venue, along with our annual MASH Bash – a party to showcase what the adult and youth classes (all abilities) have been up to. Local community members are also welcome to try their hand at circus skills at our MASH Bash and free Discovery Taster Sessions.

consultancy + partnerships

We firmly believe that circus has no limits, and we get to share that within some exciting partnerships.

These include some fantastic projects with Birmingham Museums Trust and Shakespeare’s Birthplace Trust.

Our skills have been called in for TV production to teach circus to live television performers and actors, along with on-set health and safety advice for all aspects of circus training and filming.

Notable projects include Celebrity Circus School for ITV and a circus-themed episode of Doctors for BBC.

education

We work with schools in many ways and our ultimate goal is to empower; educate and enrich young minds to give them every opportunity to become anything that they want to be.

We run team-building and leadership workshops for companies, in-school PE and enrichment classes, workshops, after school clubs and are available for school fetes and special days.

We work with primary and secondary schools of all abilities, all over Birmingham. Recent case studies include Mad Hatters and Fox Hollies School, see the videos below.

We also offer a regular schedule of circus skills classes for children and adults at our own CircusMASH academy. Please head over to our CircusMASH sister site to get all the info and book a class.

The children absolutely loved it because there were things they would never have the experience doing. It was something completely new.
